Trump Says He’s Ready to Live with Bitcoin Because People Find It Interesting

Former U.S. President Donald Trump, during the days when he was running his campaign for the 2024 presidential election in the United States, expressed his views on Bitcoin in a video that has emerged.
As the presidential candidate, Donald Trump stated,
“I always like the one currency. I like the Dollar.”
When asked whether embracing BTC was the next logical step by FOX News host. Later, Trump acknowledges that people are adopting Bitcoin and want to make payments with it.
While expressing his preference for the U.S. dollar, Trump admits that people find Bitcoin interesting and says he can live with it one way or the other: “You’re seeing something that’s interesting. I can live with it one way or the other.”
In contrast to his present view on BTC, Trump stated in 2021 on Fox Business, “Bitcoin, it just seems like a scam.” Additionally, he pointed out the competition between Bitcoin and the U.S. dollar as a reason for not liking Bitcoin.
Despite his earlier disapproval of Bitcoin, Trump launched an NFT collection called “Collect Trump Cards” on Polygon in late 2022. According to Arkham data, he sold 1,000 of the obtained Ethereum in early 2024. Furthermore, Trump introduced another trading card NFT project in 2023.
The price of Bitcoin has experienced over 1% loss in the last 24 hours and is currently trading at $51,120 at the time of writing. The 24-hour trading volume has decreased by approximately 20%, falling to $24 billion.
